Beach Nourishment begins

sandstockpileforbeachnourishment1474020627040116[1]Update from the Town of Longboat Key web site: “Trucks carrying sand for the first phase that focuses on central Longboat Key will begin arriving Wednesday, April 6, from a sand mine in Immokalee, Florida. The trucks will reach the beach through the Colony property at 1620 Gulf of Mexico Drive. Approximately 40,000 cubic yards of sand will be added from the Islander Club Condominium, 2295 Gulf of Mexico Drive, southward to the north end of the Seaplace Condominiums, 2045 Gulf of Mexico Drive.
